Reg Ford 1946-2001

Chairman of the Batten Support & Research Trust died in a tragic accident on February 22nd.

Reg, a retired fire chief, devoted his time towards research and care management for children suffering with Batten Disease. He worked tirelessly at fund raising and heightening public awareness towards this horrific disease of children as well as traveling around the globe to attend conferences in search of the ultimate prize, a cure.

His funeral took place in Weymouth, Dorset, UK on March 2nd and was attended by more than 700 people.

The JNCL Research Fund would like to pay tribute to such a kind and generous man and to acknowledge his caring and inspirational influence on all he came into contact with.
