About Us

The JNCL Research Fund was founded in 1995 by a family in Illinois with two daughters who have JNCL. It is a public, tax-exempt, non-profit organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and all gifts and donations to the Project are tax deductible. The JNCL Research Fund was formed to raise funds through events and contributions from corporations, foundations and friends.

These funds are fully directed towards basic and novel research with the aim to discover a therapy for children suffering with JNCL.

The JNCL Research Fund website has been set up to aid in centralizing all information that pertains to research into JNCL.

Key Objectives

	Fast turn around for research grants to speed discovery.
	Catalog pertinent research information i.e. reagents, active researchers etc.
	Organizing and sponsoring conferences to encourage cooperation among laboratories and to generate new research strategies
	Working with government agencies to encourage the funding of active research on JNCL.
	Develop a database of information with regards to measuring disease progression of JNCL, to gage success of clinical trials
